MSIA (Material Strength & Integrity Assessment) research interests lie at the nexus of Fracture, Fatigue, and ECA (Engineering Critical Assessment). Specifically, we integrate the evaluation of fatigue and fracture behaviors for various materials, the design of the ship, offshore and automobile, and assessment of structural integrity for application and development in the industry.

In our research, we have made significant contributions to these research areas: Evaluation of Fatigue performance and impact strength for LNG cargo tank, Development of customized ECA program based BS7910, Evaluation of Fatigue Strength of Aircraft Rivet Joint, Prediction of fatigue life and fatigue test for carbon SMC composite, etc. (for details, please read our Research)
